The SpyWARE Who Came In From The Cold

by Ron Rogers

My friend is a sport fisherman, at least that's what he dreams of, on a daily basis he tunes up home computers and does an exceptional job and has earned a par excellent reputation. When I'm stuck with a computer dilemma, my friend is the person I call and no matter how hard or intricate the problem, give him some room and he'll find a resolution. He mentioned something disconcerting over lunch, it seems that 80% of the units he works on have spyware or adware on their PCs, and a good number of people are unaware of it; calling him when their machines grind to a halt.

The net is analogous to a living, breathing organism always evolving, and sometimes not in a supportive road, though it definitely has allowed me my career of choice. As times flows and expertise moves forward, so also does spyware. It is vital today to have Spyware Removal tools installed and to use it often; just as important is regularly updating the software, because what worked last time could jump over a virus or adwarecoded today.

As benchmark for this report (but not using this system) I performed a test, uninstalling my spyware removal software then visiting several traffic trade sites. These surfing websites are ideal for new internet marketers, allowing them the method to send people to their own websites, simply by their visiting and looking at other sites. The flow is like this:

You visit site 'A' and receive a credit for doing so. The credits are assigned to a site you want to promote. when others follow the same process, your website is offered for review. The system is designed so everyone gets a look at someone elses site.

The person who first invented this is brilliant, there are some that (not all) of these traffic exchanges are either owned by or used by marketers who are less than honest. Their plan not to merely show an offer or website, but to send spyway to your PC. And with today's technology some spyware/adware is sophisticated enough to start the installation of spyware/adware onto your PC, as easily as surfing to their innocent looking marketing offer. I'm not criticizing these sites or telling you not to use them, I am suggesting vigilance and stating you be convinced your PC is defended.

If this concerns you, experienced people say you already have or will certainly fall victim to spyware or adware. If you have the belief, well I don't visit movies or music sites and I definetely wouldn't download bootleg software, then you are one of the few, but you are VERY MUCH still at risk. Take the precaution. Remember the old saying...

'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'

Nowhere is that truer than with the important data on your PC. A lot of what is on your hard drive, either from a business or privacy concerns; think of opening your eyes up to discover all your records gone. Alarming, absolutely... Might it happen?... Yes. Avoidable? Yes by installing the most highly rated spyware removal programs.

Now that I have your attention, maybe you're thinking what exactly will spyware and adware do to my small network. Good, glad to see you're taking heed. Mostly spyware and adware are not rampant killers, instead they are like a fly on the wall. Collecting datathen reporting your activity to a database somewhere; they might initiate pop-ups and can smother your computer, slow your CPU speed and reduce your connection to the Internet. It's not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.

I'm very grateful there are smart programmers that feel exactly the same way that I do; meaning they want to do something about it. I don't know how to write programs, My skill is writing, and I offer these facts to give advance warning and propose you make preparations and defend your network. I applaud those coders with the skill and spirit to code and offer for public use these top drawer spyware/adware removal tools.

Once you decide on one of the spyware/adware removal tools to install, I'd advise frequent scans of your home computer. If the automatic features of the program are used, you'll find it does most of the grunt work automatically, and almost certainly while you're asleep.
