Stomach Abs Workouts: How To Get A Six Pack

The human body has eight distinct muscle groups: chest, triceps, back, shoulder, hips and abdominal muscles. Strong and well-defined 'abs' are essential for any sexy physique, and body builders spend their whole lives dedicated to achieving those perfect abdominal muscles. However, few will say that it was easy. However, with the right training and nutrition, those sexy abs are yours!

Let's take a closer look at the anatomy of abdominal muscles. Your 'abs' are composed of four separate muscle groups: 'Recus Abdominis', 'Transversis Abdominis', 'Internal Obligues' and 'External Obliques'. By following a well designed workout regime and nutrition program, these four muscle groups can be made more prominent and well defined. It's sad to say that most people have no idea how to develop well defined 'abs'.

This may not be what you want to hear, but doing hundreds of crunches a day might not help you loose the required percentage of body fat needed to get toned 'abs'. If you don't loose excess fat, all the crunches and stomach workouts in the world won't help you. There is no easy way to get washboard abs, you have to earn them with hard work and proper nutrition.

In the quest to obtain perfect 'abs', the most important thing to do is to lose excess belly fat. The best way to lose excess belly fat is through cardio-exercises. These exercises include jogging, cycling, jump rope, and swimming, and are outstanding at helping you burn off excess fat. It's important to establish a daily exercise routine and stick to it. Hydration is also important when working on your 'abs', so remember to drink plenty of water.

Getting the best workout for your abs means training all the muscles in that area. There are four sections of abdominal muscles that need attention. By targeting your workout to each muscle area, you'll get better results than if you work all of the muscle parts simultaneously.

Building six pack abs involves very tough training. The following are considered common exercises for stomach abs: barbell rollouts, barbell side bends, leg pull-ins, bent-knee hip raises, crunches (oblique and cable) and abdominal sit-ups. Leg raises and oblique decline crunches are among the best stomach abs exercises.

One of the key factors to a sexy physique is to have those perfect abdominal muscles which can only be developed with proper training and nutrition. Abdominal muscles are composed of four separate muscle groups, unfortunately most people are unaware as to how to develop well defined abs. For those washboard 'abs' it is important to loose the belly fat and the best way is cardio-exercises. It is imperative that one train all the four parts of abdominal muscle daily to obtain the most effective stomach abs workouts and hard core training is required for six pack abs.
