Don't Fall Prey To Work from Home Scams
Thousands of people are looking for ways to make money from home. Maybe you've even run across what sounds like a great work-at-home opportunity. It's one way for single parents to stay at home and be with the kids. It's also a way for people to get some extra money for things they need, or maybe presents for the holidays. But you want to protect yourself and make sure this is a legitimate opportunity, not yet another one of those work from home scams.
Yes, people will find a way to try and steal your money no matter what. They don't care if you're trying to raise a family and need the extra cash. What they care about is getting your money, and they'll keep doing it. It's up to you to learn whether or not this opportunity isn't just some way for a lazy, deceitful person to pad their wallets with extra money. Since you don't want to fall into these traps, here are some tips to help you avoid both new and old work from home scams.
- Never believe someone who tells you that you can earn insane amounts of money from home. If they say something like 'Earn $10,000 a month from home in your pajamas,' that's a dead giveaway. These are rip-offs, no matter how convincing they sound. You can earn money from home, but it takes work just like other jobs.
- Try to get some references from other people who are working with the same company. Find out how it works and if they are satisfied with it.
- Be aware of companies who are simply sending you materials for your money and you are required to find your own customers.
- Don't fall for those 'envelope stuffing schemes.' Of all work from home scams, it is one of the oldest tricks around. They simply send you instructions for your money, telling you how to place an ad in order to take other people's money.
Most of all, you need to use your common sense to avoid these work from home scams. It's a very bad sign if the company doesn't let you speak with a real human being. Don't believe them if they won't give you a real address or phone number. Don't give your money to these dishonest people. Protect yourself and find the truth about scams.
